Today I've got my blue ombre nails. I did this using two different colors of nail polish and a make up sponge.
I used China Glaze Shower Together (the dark blue) and For Audrey (the Tiffany blue)
First you want to paint your entire nail with the lighter color (or lightest color if you you are using more than two colors). Once that dries, take a damp make up sponge (so it will soak up less polish) and paint your polish on there. I usually use my make up sponge at least four or five times for different styles, so it will go a long way. Once you have your polish ready you just dab the sponge on your nails. Move it around on your nail so you do not get a defined line between the colors. Reapply polish to the sponge and move on to the next nail.
This can be a little messy, but your top coat of polish dries fast! If you mess up a little bit, just responge over it! Once you are happy with how your nails look, top coat it and use some acetone to clean up around your nails.
This is one of my favorite looks for my nails. I can use whatever colors I want and it is a nice subtle look. Enjoy!
